A Stellar Supper: Stuffed Chicken
Here is an easy step by step stellar recipe for Stuffed Chicken. Once you make this, your boyfriend, hubby, girlfriend, wife, or roommate will love you for the rest of the night. If you’re lucky, they may even offer to do your laundry as a thank you exchange for the delicious dinner. (No guarantees, but here’s for hoping!)
Ingredients needed for your stellar dinner:
- Veggies of choice
- Chicken Breast
- Cheese (We suggest shredded mozzarella)
- Salt & Pepper
- Dijon Mustard
- Breadcrumbs, cracker crumbs or croutons
- Spices of choice (We used garlic and parsley)
Step 1: Stuff It
Grab your favorite veggies. We chose to use mushrooms and spinach, but you can choose from plenty of other veggies. (Although the more foldable, the easier)
Either slice your chicken breast thinly, or you can use a meat tenderizer mallet to flatten.
Roll up your delicious ingredients inside your chicken breast. The more cheese, the more moist your chicken will be! So don’t be scared to hold back! Secure with toothpicks
Step 2: Cover n Coat
Roll your stuffed chicken in a mixture of flour, salt and pepper. This will help soak up the moisture of the chicken itself.
Then dip your floured chicken into a egg and dijon mustard mix. This will get your pieces wet and ready to be coated.
Last, coat your pieces of chicken in the breadcrumb mixture. You can use breadcrumbs, cracker crumbs, or crouton crumbs. We chose to use some crushed garlic croutons for extra flavour.
The last coat will make your stuffed chicken pieces crispy and delicious!
Step 4: Golden Grilled
Warm some cooking oil in a pan on medium heat. Carefully place each piece of chicken in the pan. Try to grill and slightly brown each side of the chicken pieces.
Step 5: Bake
Set your oven to 300˚F. Put your chicken in the oven to bake. If you have a pan that can go in the oven, go ahead and put the whole thing in. Otherwise, just place the pieces of chicken on a baking sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes. To check if the chicken is cooked, make a small slice with a knife in the chicken. If the juice comes out clear then it is cooked. If the juice comes out a bit murky looking, then it still needs a bit of time.
Step 6: Enjoy!
We hope that you enjoyed this recipe! Have a stellar dinner!
